Cancer is a multifactorial disease caused by the malfunction of the
biomolecular machinery that regulates the body’s checks and
balances. This leads to the uncontrolled growth of specific cell
subpopulations, which is driven by evolutionary pressure, ultimately
threatening the host’s survival.

Over the past 15 years, numerous algorithmic, statistical, and
mathematical modeling strategies have significantly advanced our
understanding of cancer, particularly by leveraging the vast and
ever-growing multi-modal data generated from cancer samples. Notably,
new experimental paradigms, such as patient-derived models, are
beginning to yield exciting results.

In this lively field, the Como School on Cancer Evolution (CSCE 2025)
brings together researchers from both dry and wet labs to tackle the
challenges of cancer as an evolutionary disease.

The School offers participants the opportunity to deepen their
expertise in cutting-edge concepts, methods, and applications spanning
cancer biology and computational sciences, with a sharp focus on data
science and artificial intelligence. All in all, all participants will
gain insights from pioneers shaping the future of cancer research.

Participants - especially PhD students and postdocs - are encouraged
to present their work during dedicated sessions held during the
workshop.

Upon completion of the School, all attendees will receive a
certificate of participation.

● Registration: 400 EUR (includes social dinner).
● On-premise, per-day registration: 120 EUR (social dinner not
    included).
