Dear All,


The 2021 Galaxy Community Conference 
<https://www.vibconferences.be/events/gcc2021-virtual-edition>(GCC2021) 
will take place in a *virtual format from 28 June to 10 July 2021*. GCC 
brings together hundreds of faculty, clinicians, researchers, and 
students, all working in and supporting data-intensive science that is 
accessible, sharable and reproducible.

The conference will be affordable, especially for researchers and 
students based in low, lower-middle, or upper-middle income countries

Format


Conferenceevents <https://gcc2021.sched.com/>will be held twice, once in 
theiroriginal Ghent time zone (GCC EMEA + APAC)

again9 hours later in the Americas (GCC Americas) 
<https://gcc2021.sched.com/overview/type/C.+Meeting-Americas>.The event 
features a training week, three days of conference, and two days of 
CollaborationFest (CoFest).


Training week


All training sessions are pre-recorded, so you can work through them at 
your own pace, and manage your own time. A large community of trainers 
from the Galaxy Training Network (GTN) 
<https://training.galaxyproject.org/> will be available 24/7 for online 
support to answer all your questions on Slack (a chat platform). The 
training week features 3 Training Tracks, aimed at scientists, 
developers and system administrators. Details on the Science, Developer

Conference


GCC2021 welcomes submissions that use, implement, or extend the Galaxy 
platform and ecosystem, including - but not limited to - integrating and 
analyzing large and diverse datasets in any area of research; enhancing 
reproducibility in computational analyses, and fostering collaboration 
and communication in scientific workflow development.


Presentations can be regular talks (15 minutes), lightning talks (5-6 
minutes), posters and/or demos. Abstract submission

CoFest


The CoFest will be organised around the different Galaxy Working Groups 
<https://galaxyproject.org/community/wg/>. If you have an idea for a 
project, you can register it already as a cluster idea
