The rapid and recent growth of data and methods calls for new approaches to become routine in evolutionary genomics laboratories. The objective of this Practical Course is to give an overview of state of the art methods in population genomics combining lecturing from outstanding experienced population geneticists and software developers. All conceptual innovation will be presented in lectures and applied in practice both individually and in group work. Practicals include computer exercises supervised by lecturers and training assistants. After attending the course participants will be aware of up-to-date concepts in population genetics, capable of running analyses using software based on whole genome data sequences and able to deal with basic aspects of any population genomics project. This Practical Course aims at evolutionary biologists who already have bioinformatics skills. PhD students and Post-Doc researchers will benefit the most out of this course, but applications from all candidates will be evaluated in their context. Tutti i documenti e le informazioni specifiche su questi punti sono presenti nell'agenda della call, disponibile a questo indirizzo https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nU5C4va7lXiYwE1x6ojp745i6id3SmhiR6od7eWyqaw/edit Buon lavoro a tutti, Giuseppe -- Giuseppe Profiti Adjunct Professor - International Master's degree in Bioinformatics University of Bologna, Italy Local Technical Coordinator at University of Bologna ELIXIR-IIB / National Research Council, Italy From elixir-ita_ml.elixir-ita.cnr.it a srv00.area.ba.cnr.it Mon Jan 29 13:16:22 2018 From: elixir-ita_ml.elixir-ita.cnr.it a srv00.area.ba.cnr.it (General ELIXIR-Italy Mailing list) Date: Mon, 29 Jan 2018 13:16:22 +0100 Subject: [ELIXIR-ITA_ml] Workshop Bioschemas a Bologna Message-ID: Gentilissimi, il Biocomputing Group dell'Università di Bologna ospiterà il primo workshop italiano su Bioschemas il 31 gennaio e il 1 febbraio.
